Metallurgical microscope is used for metallurgical inspection of metals, ceramics, and other materials. It can produce magnified image of a small object. Microscopes is used to examine delimitations, cracks and other anomalies.
Range:
50X to 1000X, Least Count- 0.001mm
Capabilities:
- Metallurgical inspection of Steel sample i.e. inspection of microstructure with micrograph, decarburization, inclusion, grain size, Pearlite, ferrite, Temper martensite, martensite with patches of ferrite, bainite, banding etc.
- Metallurgical inspection of Cast Iron sample i.e. inspection of bull’s eye structure, nodular graphite, nodularity, nodular size and Metrix is of ferrite and pearlite, graphite flakes, temper martensite, retained austenite, carbide particles, untampered martensite.
- Metallurgical inspection of Stainless Steel i.e. inspection of delta ferrite, austenitic structure, sigma phase, welded austenitic structure, austenitic grain, ferrite grains, carbide particles, temper martensite.
- Metallurgical inspection of Aluminium sample i.e. inspection of heat affected zone, next to weld bead, inter dendritic aluminium- silicon, eutectic in the weld bead.
- Metallurgical inspection of Tool Steel i.e. inspection of microstructure, martensite, bainite, pearlite, ferrite, carbide particles, carbide segregations, grain boundary carbides, martensite plus undissolved carbides.
- Metallurgical inspection of Copper sample i.e. inspection of microstructure consists of particles dendrites of oxide (dark) and eutectic, grain boundary, the scattered black dark along the edge of fusion zone of gas porosity, the microstructure is dendrites of sigma phase in a metrix of β phase.
